About Us
Chestnut Meats began 4 years ago selling goat from the farm gate, and now have a full herd of breeding goats on the farm. We work alongside other goat producers rearing goats for meat, while also importing quality goat from the continent to fulfill demand here. This allows us to deliver quality kid and goat to wholesalers, shops, restaurants and bistros across the UK.
Over the years we have accumulated numerous awards including: Innovation in 2010 from North West Fine Foods, runner up in the meat category in North West Fine Foods 2009, and a win with John Mettrick in 2008 with kid goat chops.

We have developed products such as goat sausages, goat burgers, tenderised goat steaks and a goat curry
ready meal, produced by a local food manufacturer.
Chestnut meats also supply quality beef, pork and lamb for all your cooking needs.
Tim and Marnie have been farming here since 2000, when they took over the farm from Tim’s parents. Previously Tim was a dairy farmer and Marnie a businesswomen. Tom and Charlotte are both students from Harper Adams University College, they are currently on their placement year here.
Vanessa is our Miss Moneypenny and the meat is butchered by Patrick.
